This program has been made possible by a grant from
Ontario Trillium

The Smile on Seniors Program, aims to bring exclusive programming geared to our Senior Community. It offers volunteers to visit with Seniors at their homes ( or in assisted living facilities as well as at the hospital) Their mission is to bring joy and stimulation to the visitees by giving them a gift kit with a smile and giving some uplifting words. Our hope is to ultimately match up every Senior in need with a volunteer.

Smile on Seniors is open to all seniors - if you know someone 65 or older please contact us so we can add them to our list to be visited

Visitations

Sallysvisit

Many Seniors living in our community, either at home, or at assisted living homes are lonely and homebound. Smile on Seniors matches friendly volunteers with these seniors. These visits bring joy and cheer and can brighten the entire day, or even the whole week for these seniors. They look forward to spending quality time with some who cares about them. sometimes, the visitors feel like they gain more from the visit than the senior they are visiting.

If you would like to volunteer, or if you know a senior who could use a visit, please contact us: 905-881-1919 or e-mail: [email protected] This is a special mitzvah and a great opportunity to make a huge difference in a seniors life!

Challah Delivery Program

Many have experienced the taste of homemade Challahs growing up at their mother or grandmothers table. Often, eating Challah can evoke warm memories of growing up. Smile on Seniors now offers the special opportunity of delivering homemade challahs on friday afternoon to our seniors. This small gesture can make a huge difference to their lives.

If you would like to volunteer to deliver challahs, or know of a senior who could receive one, please contact us 905-881-1919 or e-mail: [email protected]
